Welcome to my car fund challenge. If you’ve stumbled upon this page and have no idea what it’s about then check out my post here.
I’ll use this page to track the growth of my car fund. I’m aiming to add at least £150 to it every month.
Ok, here goes… Wish me luck!

September 2020 – £1155.05
October 2020 – £1262.68
November 2020 – £1328.68
December 2020 – £1489.99
January 2021 – £1559.99
February 2021 – £1735.93
March 2021 – £2095.81
April 2021 – £2704.81
May 2021 – £3174.30
In May 2021, I decided to purchase my new car. Originally, I had planned to purchase it in August, but due to my old car showing further signs of deterioration, I shuffled my budgets and committed to making a purchase. I’m so pleased that I’d been squirrelling money away, as it meant that I only needed to borrow a small amount from my ‘freedom fund’ (which I’ll be returning over the next few months).
